The weather temperature in the Middle East finally dropped, from the scorching 40º C to the chilly 20º C. Yay!!! (doing the happy dance) But how ironic, I found myself yearning for ice cream on a cold winter night. No one could stop me from getting some scoops, not even Mr. Winter nor the inner voice which constantly tells me to cut down on sweets! So, I sat at Haagen Dazs' comfy red couch and devoured the world's finest dessert!
The vast array of ice creams and pastries at the counter looked so tempting. I loved to try the new Salted Caramel, but I couldn't make a firm decision at the sight of other signature flavors. So, instead of having a scoop, I ordered 'Journey Around The World' on the menu list; a set of 4 kinds of ice cream served with baked patisserie and toppings!
The Journey Around The World consists of (L-R in the photo below) Salted Caramel, Macadamia Nut Brittle, Strawberries & Cream and Dulce de Leche ice cream flavors. Price of one set is 38 AED. I can say that the price is steep for a dessert, but it's Haagen Dazs, a luxury ice cream with fine texture and exquisite flavors! So, having 4 delicious types is definitely worth the price.
I surrendered to my guilty pleasure! My husband is very supportive, even when it comes to my cravings, so I didn't hesitate to share some scoops with him! :)
Geez, makes me want to break my vow of not eating ice cream for a whole month! Happy New Year!
