I had an itty-bitty problem while I was making our Singapore 9-hour lay over itinerary. Our first stop was at the Gardens by the Bay to view the sunrise, next was to have an aerial view of the city at Marina Bay Sands. But how can we do that if the MBS Skypark only opens at 9:30 AM? So, I searched for options and found an amazing restaurant at Marina Bay Sands with a 360 degrees panoramic view of the city.

Marina Bay Sands: Singapore's Iconic Structure |
Sky on 57 is located at Tower 1 on level 57 of the majestic Marina Bay Sands. It is a restaurant of the award-winning Singaporean Celebrity Chef Justin Quek! It opens at 7 AM and has a breakfast set menu at a very reasonable price. Sky on 57 was perfect for us who were on a very tight schedule. It was hitting two birds with one stone; a great breakfast with an awesome view!

Since Chef Justin Quek was trained in France's top kitchens, Sky on 57 offers the finest Franco Asian cuisine. We got to savour the best of both worlds at breakfast. There are traditional Asian dishes and French breakfast delights on the menu, plus a selection of fruit juices, danish pastries, salads and fruits at the buffet.
From the kitchen menu, we chose Laksa, Tonkotsu Ramen, Eggs Benedict and French Toast. Guess who had the ramen? No, not my husband who is addicted to
Naruto and his fave noodles! It was me! Ed had the Laksa, for a change.
I might have looked really weird to some diners and wait staff because I ordered a different dish and ended up reaching for Ed's meal! Hahah! It happens all the time.
Sorry, I know my table etiquette, it's just too hard to resist! And so, I got to try everything; including my husband's breakfast.
:)
The laksa, a soup dish made of thick rice vermicelli in spicy coconut broth, was great yet tad spicy for my taste. I'm glad I chose tonkotsu ramen, a noodle dish made of char sui pork ramen, soft boiled eggs and leeks. It was served piping hot. The meat was very tasty and the soup was so flavorful. No wonder why Ed likes ramen a lot!

Moving on to my second breakfast dish, Eggs Benedict; toasted English muffins topped with ham, poached egg and melted cheese. The muffins were crispy and the toppings were delectable! Ed had French Toasts which of course I also got to taste! The french toasts were thick and golden, a little sweet and sinfully delicious. It was served with a slice of fresh strawberry, blueberry jam and cream.

We were so full that we almost forgot we can also grab some breakfast entrees at the buffet section. So, after we finished our coffee, we went to the buffet area to take a glass of fruit juice and to check the selections we have missed. There were croissants, muffins, sausage, bacon, cereals, fruits and a whole lot more!

Breakfast is at its finest at Sky on 57!!! The restaurant has a posh, yet very relaxed ambiance. It has a spectacular view of Singapore skyline and the Bay. A sophisticated breakfast with a breathtaking view at Sky on 57 only costs S$38 plus taxes. If given a chance, I'd definitely come back for dinner!

ReplyDeleteAng nice ng rendition nila ng egg benedict. I hope it was as delicious too! And laksa! Ang sarap nyan. :) The time you spent there was worth the wait i'm sure :)
ReplyDeleteIndeed, ang galing ng pagkaka-plate nila sa eggs benedict. Oh I wouldn't mind having breakfast there if only for the view. Sulit na sulit. I'll take note of the place in case I happen to be in Singapore soon. :)
