All About Lady

Hello! I'm Lady Anne. Yes, that's my real name. :)

Friends call me Lady. People who don't know me that much call me Anne, maybe because calling a lady "Lady" seems silly. Perhaps my name sounds like I'm somebody from the royal family, well it's because my parents (and the rest of the world) were smitten by the Princess of Wales on the year I was born.

I was born and raised in the Philippines, particularly in Silay City; a quaint historical town in Negros Occidental in Western Visayas. I am an Ilongga, hence I think I don't need to explain why I am sweet, extremely cheesy and hopelessly romantic.

I have been calling Dubai my second home since 2008. I decided to live and work in the UAE for personal growth. Being an only child, I was shy and very dependent to my parents even in my early 20s. I didn't want to grow old that way.

I am happily married to Ed. He is my travel buddy, my foodie friend, my partner in crime and my soul mate. This food and travel blog is actually a product of our teamwork. Ed works behind the scene. He handles the technical issues because blogging is not as easy as it seems to be. :)

I work full-time in the Healthcare Industry. I am a Medical Laboratory Technologist in a reliable laboratory in Dubai. Yes, I do love my job but I often seek for balance. That's the reason why I love to act like a tourist during weekends.

I love dining out ever since I was little. I'm not a big eater at home. Well, my appetite magically increases when I'm in a restaurant. I am a foodie who is not really an expert in the kitchen. So, what I'm sharing in this blog are my dining experiences and not professional restaurant reviews.

I love to explore places. I couldn't spend a weekend at home; I'd go crazy! Because of my itchy feet, I discovered wonderful things, saw breathtaking spots and met new friends. I could say that my sweet escapes have not just entertained me, but have helped me see the real world and changed me for the better.
