Sugar Factory: Dubai's Newest Sweet Spot

Sugar Factory - the ULTIMATE candy la-la-la-land in the USA - is now in Dubai! The first ever branch outside the US is tucked in the newly revamped Dubai Festival City Mall. Of course, this lady with a sweet tooth must see what the fuss is all about!   

Sugar Factory American Brasserie is a candy shop cum restaurant. It started as a sweets store in Las Vegas in 2009, but a few years later, it was turned into an American Brasserie serving contemporary American fare and signature cocktails alongside the famous sugary treats. 

It's the first of its kind, so you can't blame me for being too excited. :)

Breakfast at Serendipity 3 in Dubai Festival City

For someone who is obsessed with all things pink and pretty, the opening of Serendipity 3 in Dubai is a dream come true! The whimsical restaurant has been featured in movie scenes and TV series episodes - the most famous is probably the scene of John Cusack and Kate Bekinsale having frozen hot chocolate in the romantic comedy film Serendipity. Have you seen that movie? No? Oh, watch it NOW pretty please. :)  

Serendipity 3 of NYC currently has two fresh outlets in Dubai. With its popularity, I guess there will be more in the future, but as of now, the fans and the curious ones can have their frrrozen hot chocolate fix in Dubai Festival City and City Walk.

Friday Brunch at Original Wings and Rings

What can make a lady who's never ever into sports and who can live without alcohol spend a couple of hours inside a sports bar? Food! Good comfort food! :) 

A few weeks ago, I received an invitation to dine at Original Wings and Rings. The name of the restaurant made me accept the invite in an instant. It sounds like a casual American bistro serving one of the best comfort food ever created... Buffalo Wings! It was only after I gave my big fat yes that I turned to Google for a little research. The info that Mr. Google gave me caught me off guard. Original Wings and Rings is a sports bar in Liberty House in DIFC with a tagline "Eat. Drink. Talk Loudly."

Of course, I was elated with the eating part. But the drinking and talking loudly? Uhmm. I have to be honest that I was scared I'd be a little out of place.

Bennigan's: Great American Meal and Warm Irish Hospitality

Ed and I spent most of our weekends in Asian restaurants lately. We absolutely love Asian food, but then we miss trying out different dishes and new dine outs spots. So when we decided to have our lunch at The Dubai Mall last weekend, it was the right time to browse our blue books. We rely on our Entertainer Dubai whenever we want to have something new. With the Entertainer coupons, it's always a guilt-free indulgence because we get two dishes for the price of one! One of the new additions to the 2014 book is Bennigan's; an Irish-themed restaurant offering American food. American fare combined with Emerald Isle's legendary hospitality sounds very interesting, right?
