Cool Summer Fun at Ice Land Water Park

Ed and I are water babies. We love beaches, pools, waterfalls and the like. Here in UAE, we fell in love with water parks. We have been to Dubai's Atlantis, Wild Wadi and Wonderland. We also traveled to Umm Al Quwain just to frolic in Dreamland. Early this year, before the peak of summer season, we had an hour road trip to Ras Al Khaimah to visit a water park with a cool concept, Ice Land!

Ice Land's "Let's Freeze the Desert" tagline is catchy, but don't expect to be literally frozen! Sad to say, you can't find real snow and real penguins inside the park. Ice Land is just a water park with an Arctic theme.

The park is very prominent from afar due to the man-made mountain that surrounds it. Inside the park, behind that mountain, is a 120 feet tall man-made waterfalls known as the Penguin Falls.

The park's entrance to the ticket booth is glacier-inspired. Entrance fees are 150AED for adults and 100AED for children. Since we purchased a deal in the net prior out visit, we were able to skip the long queue and got two tickets with an overnight stay at City Hotel for only 399AED. That deal was such a steal!

There goes my adventurous husband! He tried all the slides, including the highest one at Mount Attack.

...and off he goes again! That's Ed jumping off at Plunge Point.

Extreme water slides are not my thing, so I just lazed around Snow River with a friend.

There are cabanas available for trippers who want privacy and comfort. We never asked how much the rent costs, we were satisfied with our cute igloo cottage.

At the Food Village, where we had our lunch.

I had a lunch combo which includes chicken strips, fries, salad and a drink.
Set meals cost around 30-50AED.
I also bought mozzarella sticks. 3 sticks cost 10AED.
