Tailgate Brunch at TRYP by Wyndham Dubai

Weekends in Dubai call for lavish Friday Brunches in hotels! I do love to dress up for this occasion, but more often than not, I would rather ditch the fancy dress and high heels for a comfy get-up! Hence, the Tailgate Brunch - a laid back bbq brunch - at TRYP by Wyndham immediately caught my attention.

Filipino Food Fiesta Brunch at Jumeira Rotana

A fiesta in the Philippines is a colorful celebration of culture and food. There is dancing in the streets and family gathering in homes. A long table of dishes welcomes guests to the household. A series of chitchats or catching up typically follows! This is one of the unique traditions in the Philippines that Ed and I miss the most.

We don't celebrate fiestas here in Dubai, but there are restaurants that make us feel we are in one! Take for example, the new Friday Brunch concept called "Filipino Food Fiesta" in Olive Oil restaurant in Jumeira Rotana.

Brunch Nation at The Croft: A Foodie Journey across the Commonwealth

Ed and I have adapted the infamous Dubai Friday Brunch habit. Living in Dubai for almost a decade, yet started the weekend brunch tradition only two years ago, we are quite late-bloomers on this aspect. So, whenever we hear a new brunch, an interesting concept, or an excellent promotion, we are always too excited to check it out.

Another brunch experience went down to our books last Friday. It was perfect! Well, Perfect was basically the word I used the most while trying out the all-new Brunch Nation at The Croft in Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel and Suites.

Friday Brunch at Bamboo Lagoon

Over the weekend, I was at JW Marriott Hotel Dubai for brunch. But it wasn't just the usual Friday brunch. It was an Instameet, a photography workshop, a feast and a gathering of some of the most brilliant minds in social media all rolled into one!

The event was hosted by Illustrado (a lifestyle magazine dedicated to the thriving Filipino expat community in the Middle East) and Nikon Middle East and Africa. Ed and I are Nikon users ever since we took blogging seriously and I'm an avid Illustrado reader; hence I was so thrilled to be there!

At the workshop, we were introduced to Nikon D3400; a new entry level DSLR equipped with Snapbridge. The latter is a handy feature that automatically transfers photos from camera to smartphone; perfect for Bloggers and Instagrammers who like to share photos in instant while on the go.

And when brunch time came, we were ushered to JW Marriott Hotel Dubai's Bamboo Lagoon!

Street Art Brunch at The Oberoi Dubai

Have you ever wondered what would happen when the infamous Dubai Friday Brunch meets street food and street art? Oh surely, there's a whole lotta foodie fun!

Nine7One at The Oberoi Dubai introduced an awesome Street Art Brunch concept late last year, and we were able to have a taste of it a few weekends back. The world-cuisine restaurant transforms its sophisticated ambiance into a lively street food market style atmosphere  from 1 to 4pm every Friday. It's casual, eclectic, interactive, and so different from all the regular brunches in the city!

Flavours on Two: The Perfect Friday Brunch at Towers Rotana

Weekends in Dubai are made for waking up late, lazing in bed a little longer and skipping breakfast for a bigger and better meal called Brunch! They say, nobody does Weekend Brunch as good as Dubai. And I'm out here to prove it right one brunch at a time.

A few weekends ago, Ed and I were thrilled to try out the brunch offerings at Towers Rotana; a towering skyscraper along Sheikh Zayed Road. Towers Rotana houses two weekend brunches - a pub style brunch at Long's Bar and a family style brunch at Flavours on Two. Since Ed and I always prefer to have a wholesome weekend meal, we chose the latter.

The Art of Brunch at Movenpick Hotel Bur Dubai

I haven't been to a city that takes weekend brunch as seriously as Dubai. Here, the breakfast-lunch merge is such an institution. Extra-special buffet is laid out. Bubbly is overflowing. People dress to the nines!

Brunch is offered in almost every hotel in town. Each, being far from the ordinary, has its own style and concept. And last weekend, Ed and I have experienced a very interesting one at Movenpick Hotel Bur Dubai. The hotel takes the famous Dubai Friday Brunch to a whole new level by serving an artistic brunch buffet where food meets art! And they cleverly call it The Art of Brunch!

The Vibrant BubblOrange Brunch at Centro Barsha

Orange is the color that represents energy, warmth and good health. That is probably the main reason why c.Taste restaurant in Centro Barsha was brimming with a lively ambiance during the BubblOrange Brunch

It was almost two in afternoon when Ed and I arrived. Very late and terribly hungry, I was glad to see warm smiles and hear boisterous laughs as we stepped inside the restaurant. My senses immediately feasted on everything orange; the zest of the fruit and the vibrancy of the hue. The high-spirited staff jumped from one table to another, delivering the best restaurant service I have experienced so far. The whole new brunch concept is a purveyor of happiness I must say!

The Grand Eid Brunch at Radisson Blu Dubai

Just as the world commemorated Eid Al Adha, I turned thirty-two! :)

I never had something in mind for my birthday this year. With so many things running in my head (my full-time job, this blog, the upcoming trip), I could let my personal holiday pass without doing anything special other than saying my prayers and wishes. Or is this a sign of aging? I could hear my 20-something self laughing and telling me how boring I turned out to be. Hahaha!

Apparently, the husband wouldn't let me blow my 32nd birthday candle at home. Without my suggestions, he searched for a place where we could celebrate both my Birthday and Eid al Adha. And I must say, he did a great job. I'm very impressed with his choice! :)

He found a wonderful deal online for a grand Eid brunch at Radisson Blu.
