Decadence Breakfast in Atmosphere Burj Khalifa

And just like that, I turned 38! :)

I'm not a fan of throwing big birthday parties, hence turning a year older during the time of social distancing didn't bother me. But yes, I must admit, I was sad that I couldn't go home to see my parents or at least travel to a new place just like how I spent my birthdays before.

Stuck in Dubai with a full 9-hour shift to render, I searched for a good place to have my birthday breakfast. My work starts at 11:30 AM, so my options are limited as most cafes only open at 10. Then, I saw that Atmosphere in Burj Khalifa has a breakfast voucher on The Entertainer app, and the restaurant opens at 7 AM! Hmmm! Early breakfast at the world's highest restaurant sounded brilliant. And to think it's Buy 1 Get 1 Free... splendid!

Breakfast Date at Social House

Ed and I were at The Dubai Mall for breakfast and a little sale shopping two weekends ago. We normally spend lazy Friday mornings at home, but that weekend was an exception due to my craziness over Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale! Well, it was more of a need than a want as I only have few more sprays left on my VS Bombshell. I badly need to purchase a new scent before the mall gets crowded and while there's still enough stocks on sale. :) 

So, it went out as planned. I had my VS goodies before I had breakfast! Crazy eh! I know, I know! I'm just lucky to have a very supportive husband who endured the pangs of hunger while I was at Victoria's Secret for almost an hour, just for a perfume, a lotion, and a lippie! :)  Okay, enough of the girly stuff. Let's talk about breakfast!

Breakfast Date at IHOP

One winter morning, I woke up at Grandeur Hotel's comfortable king-size bed, kissed the morning sun at the hotel's roof deck and sweetly begged my husband to hop out of the bed and have a breakfast date with me at IHOP! International House of Pancakes, is a newly-opened American restaurant at Mall of the Emirates. Being a pancake-fanatic, I was too ecstatic to dine at IHOP. I couldn't stop talking about it, so at 8:00 am, Ed happily obliged to take me out on a date! :)
