You know me, when it comes to seafood, I'd be the first in line especially when the restaurant has a unique concept. I was excited when I first heard about the opening of Crab Tavern Seafood and Bar which was first launched in London. Although "crab" is very much highlighted in its name and menu, Crab Tavern has an American surf and turf concept, and that simply means it's a delight for both carnivores and seafood fans!

Seafood Feast at Boardwalk

2014's second quarter began with another sweet surprise. Once again, for the third time, a notification with the awesome word "Congratulations" appeared on my iPhone! I thought it was some sort of a late April Fools' joke, so I repeatedly verified the sender and the comment just to confirm it wasn't a prank. Yah, paranoia strikes sometimes, especially when it's just too good to be true! Much to my delight, the Instagram notification clearly said that I won a meal for two at Boardwalk, an iconic restaurant overlooking Dubai Creek. Thank God for Instagram, hashtags and the winning streak! ;)

A Bucket of Joy at Seafood in a Bucket

The last time I had a plastic bib on and devoured delicious crab in a shallow metal bucket, our date night bill went up to a whopping 200 AED... and even more if we didn't use a buy1get1 voucher! Then, a couple of weeks ago, I discovered a new seafood restaurant with almost the same unique concept, but with more affordable items on the menu! Imagine, a deep bucket full of sweet chili crabs for just 21 AED! 

Seafood in a Bucket is a new concept brought by ASAP in House Restaurant in Karama. Though the restaurant is not visible along the main road, it is the power of social media that has made every seafood-lover searching for this latest dine-out spot.

Crackin' at Claw BBQ, Crabshack and Grill

I've been wanting to dine at Claw BBQ, Crabshack and Grill ever since I heard about it last month. The thoughts of crab-cracking and juicy crab meat made me drool. However, upon seeing the steep price tags on the online menu, I just hoped I could win the dinner for two contest at Claw's Facebook page or magically find a voucher somewhere. Then last week, I found a 2 for 1 voucher in a magazine! Yay! I frantically cut off the voucher and scheduled a weekend date night with my husband.

Claw BBQ, Crabshack and Grill is the newest, hottest and hippest bar/restaurant in Souk Al Bahar. It was jam-packed on weekend night. The staff at the entrance sadly told us that we need to sign up on the waiting list and probably wait an hour for a table for two. We were also given the option to dine at the bar in case we couldn't wait. Since it was past eight in the evening, I was already hungry, impatient and excited, we immediately took the latter option!
